Project: Computer Education
Shilpa (HIT Nidasoshi)
Basic knowledge of computers is a necessity in order to succeed in today's society. Students that come from poorer backgrounds, though, usually don't receive the same opportunities to learn about computers. To help these poorer students, Shilpa wanted to provide them with computer education, free of cost.
Shilpa gathered a team and together, they went to schools and taught students about all aspects of computers. They physically brought a computer to the schools so that students could see and understand the components of computers. They also taught the students about the different uses and benefits of computers. After the session, the team tested the students on the information they had presented to them, and they rewarded the students with prizes for correct answers.
The team is presently continuing teaching the computer education to the students.

Project: Blood Check Up Camp
Shashikant Khanagoudra (SJPN Trust's Polytechnic Nidasoshi)
Shashikant had a desire to help people by creating awareness about their health. After meeting with and getting permission from the Headmaster, Shashikant conducted a blood check up camp at Yaragatti School. With the help of some local doctors, Shashikant and his team taught the students about help and then checked the blood groups for all of the students.
By knowing their own blood types. the students from Yaragatti School will now be safer in emergency health situations. From his project, Shashikant learned a great deal about group management and communication.

Project: Basic Needs for Government School
Gururaj S. K. (Maratha Mandal Engineering College)
Gururaj sought to improve the learning environment for students at a government school. He mobilized the local people to help the children. Gururaj was successfully able to collect and donate over 30 notebooks, a medical kit, information charts, and sports equipment. By bringing these basic, yet necessary items to the school, the children are able to focus more on learning.

Project: We Will Do (Unity in Strength)
Anjum Ahmed Bagban (Samiti BBA College, Belgaum)
Rajput School at RPD severely lacked proper infrastructure, staff, and resources. The school grounds were littered with waste and broken bottles, making the school’s environment a very difficult place for the students to learn. Anjum instigated this school’s reform by seeking help from fellow college students and approached the principal of the school and demanded improvement. Now, the school grounds are clean and inviting. Furthermore, more local support is now in place to closely monitor the grounds, and strict actions are taken against anyone who vandalizes or threatens the integrity of the school property.
Project: Recycling of Waste Chalk
Atheeq MD (REC Hulkoti)
Atheeq noticed that a lot of chalk was being wasted at his college. He came up with an idea to recycle and reuse the wasted chalk. Atheeq devised a method to recycle use chalk, and he presented this method to the principal. After this method was successfully implemented at his college, he introduced his idea and implemented his method in a local government school.
Project: Rangoli Competition for Kannada Rajotsava
LEADer: Vinod
Location: St. Mary Convent School
Vinod conducted a Rangoli competition in school. He wanted Kannada as a theme to execute this idea. He announced the date and informed to design different Rangoli on Kannadambe, Kannda literature, culture etc. More than 50 students designed very creatively in a short duration of time.
Project :Drawing and Speech Competition
LEADer: Maithri Mahesh
Location: Guddal village, Davangere
LEADer Maithri Mahesh conducted a drawing and speech competition in the government school in Guddal village. This was a platform for students to exhibit their creative ability. As per teachers say, students have a lack of exposure. When the LEADer approached for the first time, none of the students responded. So it was a challenging thing for Maithri to give them exposure. She eventually succeeded and the headmistress selected the best participants and awarded them with prizes.
Project: The Dynamo Project
LEADer: Weerdhawal Chowgule
Location: Jain College of
Engineering, Belgaum
This project is especially designed for students going to school in rural areas, since the government has provided free bicycles to all the students. It will help them get electricity, the lack of which is the main problem in the rural sector of India. Weerdhawal had heard from his father that students in their village school couldn’t study due to an electricity problem. This project will help the student and his family. It can also be used for workers going to sites for work who use cycles. It is eco-friendly; no fuel is burnt to produce electricity, only the energy or efforts by the rider are required. To implement this project Weerdhawal went to his native place Shivaji High School, Kadoli, Belgaum, where he asked the principal for a student who comes from a far away village, is good at studies, and is physically fit. Then Weerdhawal told the student and his parents about the project. The parents were happy about it and even helped Weerdhawal to make some connections.

Project: Children's Library
LEADer: Pavana Hegde
Location: Sirsi
Pavana collected books from the alumni of her primary school and searched for sponsorship. She then went on to collect old moral storybooks from villagers and set up a small workshop in the school to house and maintain the library. In total she collected 200 books for the school and 30 children actively participated in this program.
