Nihal N. Revankar (SDM, Dharwad)
Most families use stoves to serve multiple purposes- to cook food, prepare beverages, heat water for bathing, etc. Nihal, therefore, designed a multi-purpose stove. Nihal’s stove contains a hollow, aluminum pipe around the flame. Water is heated when it passes through one end of the pipe, and hot water is collected at the other end. With Nihal’s stove, then, two tasks can be done at the same time. Nihal’s stove has been distributed to 8 families.
