Laxmeshwar Leadership Camp

 On October 6th and 7th a two days leadership camp was hosted in Laxmeshwar, Gadag by SKSVM Agadi College of Engineering and Technology, a LEAD partnering college. 45 participants participated in the camp from Laxmeshwar, Dharwad, Hubli, Davangere, Hulkoti and Sirsi colleges. The objective of the camp was to bring the excitement among participants, help them to understand their leadership skills, how can they overcome from their own inferiority, building the positivity, learning creativity through art and understand team building.




Mr. Ajay Suman Shukla coordinated the overall camp along with the facilitators Radhakrishna, Geeta, Kavita and Vijay. First day started with understanding the expectations of all the participants from these two days later various activities were taken to understand the team dynamics, team work, team building and coordination in team. Second half was full with art, drawing and clours. All the participants recalled their childhood memories to make the drawing collage on the theme of environment, leadership and Gandhi Ji. All the six teams were quite different in drawing the same given topics. At later evening session, participants understood the term “who is a real leader” and “what is leadership” with practical activities done individually and in groups.


 Second day of the camp started early morning 5:30am with Yoga session for two hours, many asanas were taught with the benefits on body of each of them. Second session was a team work of scavenger hunt in the college campus followed with making a new venture plan that can make profit. In post lunch session participants were given insight and practical assignment of understanding their social identity in the society that is GIVEN, CHOSEN and exist into their CORE of life. Participants were able to understand the importance of their different identities and whether it is supporting them to build up their leadership abilities or not? Next activity was in the same follow up to help participants understand effective leadership through given pictures.

At the end there was a good binding among participants came from different locations and all were very much confident and positive for their upcoming actions.

The appreciating factor of this camp was that it was hosted by college and all the necessary arrangements of stay, food, facilities were taken care by existing leaders of the college. SKSVMACET Leaders Vijay Matti, Raghavendra and Ashwini Moolimani were into key role for making all the arrangements of the camp.
