Laxmeshwar LEADer Creates Irrigation for 21 Acres of Land, Helps 10 Farmers

In the village of Karikatti, near Laxmeshwar, local farmers were suffering from water shortages, which was threatening their crop yields.  LEADer Umesh from SKSVMACET wanted to do something about this problem.  While contemplating a solution, he noticed  that a lot of water was being wasted from drainage systems.  With support from the Gram Panchayath and local farmers, Umesh led a project to create an irrigation system by collecting and channeling drainage water and then pumping the collected water to the local farms.  Over 21 acres of land and 10 farmers and their families are now benefiting from this water irrigation.
