Prasanna from MSW Department, Davangere University, wanted to improve his surrounding environment while simultaneously helping people in his community.  There was a lake in his community that desperately needed cleaning.  Prasanna approached members of the Gram Panchayath and members of his community to start working.
Prasanna faced many challenges convincing people, acquiring the required equipment (such as tractors for cleaning), and managing people throughout his project.  However, Prasanna's energy and perseverance made his project successful.  The lake is now clean, and the soil surrounding the lake now yields better crops.  Over 150 farmers benefitted from Prasanna's project.
